You Are Hired

The information below illustrates what happens to your benefits when you are hired (and scheduled to work 10 or more hours a week):

Dental

  • Eligibility
    You are eligible on the first of the month on or after your hire date
  • Coverage Available
    For you, your spouse and your dependent children, who are eligible to age 26 (end of the month in which they turn age 26).
  • Benefits Include
    The dental plan includes preventive, basic, some major services & a $1000 orthodontia benefit.

Vision Care

  • Eligibility
    You are eligible on the first of the month on or after your hire date
  • Coverage Available
    For you, your spouse and your dependent children, who are eligible to age 26 (end of the month in which they turn age 26).
  • Benefits Include
    A vision exam, standard lenses and frames once every 12 months. Contact lenses are available and the amount reimbursed depends on whether you choose a VBA provider and if the lenses are medically required.

Life & AD&D Insurance

  • Eligibility
    You are eligible on your hire date
  • Coverage Available
    For you
  • Benefits Include<
    • Life Insurance: Up to one and a half times your annual salary to a maximum of $250,000, depending on your age.
    • AD&D: Up to 100% of your life benefit, depending on your injury.
