Enrollment Instructions

If you are making any changes to your benefits this year, you must enroll during the Open Enrollment period by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Follow the instructions below.

The Open Enrollment period is your only opportunity to make benefit elections for the upcoming year unless you experience a life event, such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, or a change in your or your spouse's employment status during the year. If you experience a life event, you will have 30 days to make changes to your benefits. If you don't contact the Employee Benefits Office within 30 days of the event, you will have to wait until the next open enrollment period.

Online Enrollment Instructions

Please have the following information available to enroll online:

  • View the 2011 State Open Enrollment Booklet & Quick Reference guide on the Statewide Benefits website at www.ben.omb.delaware.gov/oe
  • Your Social Security #, Employee ID # and birth date
  • The names, Social Security #s and birth dates for each of your dependents
  • The ID # of your provider if you are enrolling in the Blue Care or Aetna HMO plan
  • Your spouse’s employment and health coverage information, if covering your spouse on a health plan

1. Click on Benefits Enrollment on the left navigation bar. (This will link you to the State’s eBenefits online enrollment website at https://eapps.erp.delaware.gov/)

2. eBenefits Sign In screen opens.

3. Enter UserID = EMPLID (EMPLID = Employee ID# found on your paycheck stub/direct deposit advice.)

4. Enter Password (Password – used to access E-pay)

5. Click Sign In

> Employee Self Service
> Benefits
> DE Open Enrollment

6. Follow online instructions

7. Once changes are made, click ‘Submit’ located at the bottom of the page.
