Your good health – and ability to work – are two things that should not be taken for granted. The District’s Long-Term Disability (LTD) Plan helps to protect you and your family from financial hardship should an accident, illness, or injury prevent you from working for an extended period. This plan is a supplement to the State of Delaware\u2019s Long-Term Disability Plan and provides you with a basic level of monthly benefits after you have been totally disabled for a certain length of time. LTD benefits will be paid up to age 70 if you are age 69 or younger and on an approved disability. If you are age 70 or older, your LTD benefits will be paid for 12 months.<\/p>\n
