You have the opportunity to purchase Long-Term Disability Insurance to supplement the State\u2019s Pension Disability Benefit.<\/p>\n<p>You may purchase coverage that would supplement your State Disability Pension plan up to 66.6% of your earnings. The maximum Long-Term Disability benefit you could receive is $8,000 per month. Your plan includes a minimum benefit of 10% of your earnings or $100 per month. Earnings are defined as in Standard\u2019s contract with your employer.<\/p>\n<p>You are eligible if you are an active STATE OF DELAWARE PENSION COVERED employee who works at least 10 hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis.<\/p>\n<p>Your benefit may be reduced once you reach certain ages specified in Standard\u2019s contract with your employer.
